We have extensive contacts in the tech, gaming, and traditional content spaces and are ready to apply them to this company and vision. 

How We're Different

Gaming and VR are the future, and in many ways the present of todays storytelling. Kids are watching gaming now more than they are watching sports for the first time in modern media. Meanwhile in the redemptive content space there isn’t much activity in the creation, and formation, of any meaningful tech focused spaces and platforms. The Mustard aims to change that! Today’s redemptive content does not possess a youthful demographic. It is too safe, sometimes inauthentic to the human condition, and often lacks a genuine connection to modern life.  It’s ok to show the unsavory aspects of the human condition, we just need to REDEEM them, and show people the way out. The Mustard will be that voice in Gaming, VR, and traditional media. We will create a crowd funded entertainment portal, that offers gaming, VR, and traditional media experiences providing a positive refuge in the Metaverse and in today’s current media market. 

We will also document every corporate move, hire, payroll, and investment on the Blockchain making The Mustard a truly transparent entity.  We want to operate in the light, not hide in the dark, and upon opening a physical location we will begin The Mustard’s Blockchain transparency initiative.

Calvin Aurand - FOUNDER / CEO

CAL AURAND is a filmmaker, prolific storyteller and visionary creative leader with over 25 years of dedicated experience creating meaningful and compelling content for some of the world’s most notable names.  


CAL AURAND is a filmmaker, prolific storyteller and visionary creative leader with over 25 years of dedicated experience creating meaningful and compelling content for some of the world’s most notable names. Aurand is known throughout the entertainment industry for his expert execution of innovative ideas from concept to capture: from writing and directing, to producing, filming and delivering creative content that meets and exceeds goals, and works to educate audiences’ hearts through media. He is equally celebrated for being an empathetic leader, a master collaborator and an authentic force of and for positivity.  With a story to uncover at the center every project, Aurand has directed, shot and produced scripted features, music videos, sports documentaries, tour documentaries and live broadcasts shows for major musician acts like Beyonce, One Direction Jennifer Lopez, John Mayer, Tony Bennet and Harry Styles, sports legends including Aaron Rodgers, and music and entertainment powerhouses like Apple Music, Google, Nickelodeon, Sony Music, TBS Network and FX Networks.  In 2011, Aurand founded Upper Falls, Inc., a creative agency / production house that specializes in documentaries, Digital content, music video, and live productions. Early projects included camera work for live award shows and network TV events. Aurand also led the creation of the environmental concept, The 1% Coalition, with Johnny Depp’s Infitium Nihil to inspire and drive awareness of our impact on the planet through music and sports fueled by nature’s power and beauty. All that changed in 2012 when Aurand was approached by Sony Music to document the UK boy band One Direction’s official arrival in the U.S. The band went on to hire Aurand as their official photographer and documentarian, a position he held until 2015.  Prior to founding Upper Falls, Inc., Aurand spent nearly 10 years and held several different positions within Sony Music, both on the executive and creative sides, including Vice President, Head of Content for Epic Records and as Director of DVD, Video and Creative Music for Sony and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. There he is credited with producing live music videos, EPKs, artist interviews, and artist documentaries, as well as overseeing visual imaging, direction and marketing for key label artists. When not creating and directing dynamic video content or entire online universes, Aurand is a family man and mentor who also sits on the board for Counseling4Kids, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers healing and advocacy to at-risk children and families to improve the quality of life for all. Rick Eldridge - Board Member

With over 35 years in the entertainment business as a musician, producer, director and entrepreneur: Rick Eldridge knows how to make projects happen. 


With over 35 years in the entertainment business as a musician, producer, director and entrepreneur: Rick Eldridge knows how to make projects happen. Whether sports programming, live production, animated series or feature films, Eldridge has been involved in every facet of creative development and production management in the entertainment industry Eldridge is a graduate of Brevard College in Music / performing arts with advanced studies in theory / composition at UNCC and digital recording at Full Sail School of Recording Arts. He serves on several charitable, civic, and college/university boards. Rick is currently involved in a new theatrical feature “THE MULLIGAN” set for release in April of 2022. His creative vision has led to his involvement in
 numerous projects including:

An entrepreneurial passion + global brand experience and resources, launched the NBA's Los Angeles office, a first in professional sports, managing the league division and NASCAR's LA office for a combined two decades. Responsible for 15 billion targeted, high strategic-value media impressions, $1 billion in media value, and eight-figure revenue. A builder and innovator, has led over 50 strategic marketing partnerships with major CPG, sports, entertainment and tech properties, and talent, including the NFL, Disney, Corona, Warner Bros., Miller-Coors, Universal, Netflix, BET, Univision, Buzzfeed, and with Tom Cruise, Kevin Hart, Vince Vaughn and Channing Tatum.
