Hi, I’m Heidi McLain, the creator of To Your Taste!® Thanks for checking out our project. I and my team are ready to go into production with our confidence-in-a-box for wine lovers. With your help, we can get To Your Taste! produced, and wine lovers like you can start having To Your Taste! parties in your homes.

To Your Taste! has everything wine consumers need to know and do to throw great wine-tasting parties, and includes three games that help them and their guests learn how to taste wine, evaluate wine, and review wine...just like the professionals do. Consumers play Taste It! and learn how to use the five steps to taste wine (See, Swirl, Smell, Sip and Swallow/Spit) and how to recognize a defective or flawed bottle of wine. They Evaluate It!—learning how to use the five steps to evaluate wine using the industry-standard 100-point scale. And they learn how to write hilarious, outrageous wine reviews using phrases from actual wine reviews in consumer wine magazines, when they play Review It!

We’re raising money to get To Your Taste! produced. We know that people want to buy TYT because we’ve done focus groups and surveys and we’ve had countless TYT parties. We’ve been told by CEOs of major wine companies, wine educators, wine retailers and sommeliers that it’s a great product and it solves a need for many wine consumers. But because it is unique and has never been done before, investors are wary and want to see if it will sell before they will invest. We’re asking for your help to get TYT produced so that we can start to generate sales. Then we can get investors and continue to develop the TYT line of products and empower wine consumers everywhere. With your help, we can start a revolution in wine consumerism!

Help us end the tyranny of wine reviewers and wine ratings. We want you to have the skills you need to understand wine ratings, wine reviews, and wines gone bad. With these skills, you’ll have the confidence to buy wine, select wine from a menu, drink wine, or just talk about wine. Don’t rely on numeric scores assigned to wines or flowery jargon written by wine reviewers. You won’t have to, if you help us get TYT produced.

I designed and developed TYT with a very small but dedicated team of advisors. I'm passionate about wine and I'm passionate about what TYT can do for wine consumers.

We want to prove the naysayers wrong.  We want to show them that there is a market for a product with a comprehensive, innovative format and approach for consumers to learn about wine. Sure, there are other wine party games out there, but they “dumb down” the wine evaluation process, and none teach consumers how to understand and interpret wine reviews. And no competitor uses wine faults aromas in a fun and educational way to teach consumers how to detect a flawed or defective bottle of wine.

We know that these skills are important for wine consumers to have, and we want to help them learn these skills. 

The wine industry is very generous and raises millions of dollars for various charities every year. We will consider any requests for donations of a To Your Taste! game as a silent auction item or swag item. Some of the charity events we will support when TYT is produced include Hearts Delight, Auction Napa Valley, and L'Ete du Vin.

Can I Gift a Reward? 
YES! Spectacular idea. If you would like to donate to the project but give the reward to someone as a gift, go through all the normal process of making a donation in your name. For billing purposes, this action must be in your name. After our deadline, we will send a message to you on Fundable. We will request your address from you at that time. Please reply with all the person’s information that is to receive the reward. We will make sure they are the person who receives the reward.

Can I increase my pledge once it’s been made? 
YES! Once you donate to our project, you may want to change your incentive reward to a different one, or increase your pledge amount.

What happens if the money isn’t raised in time? Unfortunately nothing. If our goal isn’t met before the deadline, no money changes hands and no TYT product is made. We want to avoid this scenario at all cost!

Can we exceed the goal? 
YES! What an amazing problem to have. Fundable will allow as much money as is given before the deadline. Maybe that would mean more widespread marketing, or maybe investors would sit up and take notice that this is a viable product. Let’s make it a goal to exceed our goal. That’ll show ‘em!

Is To Your Taste For Wine LLC a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization? 
Sorry, but no. Donations are raw gifts and are non-tax deductible.

If I donate, when can I redeem the reward? 
All rewards, big and small, will only happen if our goal is met. If we do meet our goal, immediately after our deadline we will start to manufacture and ship all physical rewards directly to you. It will be our priority to schedule the customized rewards as soon as possible. You will hear from us. (More on this as we get closer to our deadline.)

What will the money be used for? 
Every penny (minus the fees for Fundable’s involvement) will go directly to producing and distributing TYT.

$72,000 seems like a low number for a comprehensive high-end product like TYT. Doesn’t it? 
You are correct. The money will only be enough to fund the first production run of TYT. 

We’ll use the money generated from sales of TYT to fund marketing, advertising, promotion, and other operating expenses. We’ll also use the money to demonstrate to prospective investors that there is a market for this product.
