Tribe L3C is the exclusive US distributor for Tribu Outdoors www.tribuoutdoors.com. TRIBU is a premier adventure and lifestyle brand based in the Philippines. We aim to deliver innovative footwear products that are durable, performance driven and designed with style.

We aren’t pathfinders. We make our own paths. We stay true to the spirit of adventure that gave birth to and nurtured the brand while always keeping with the times. We care deeply about our planet and how our business affects it. We consider her in every move we make and every product we make. As constant as the mountains that move us, we walk equipped for adventure and fueled by the passion and attitudes of the lifestyles to which we cater.

How It Works

The Upcycled Footwear sandals capitalizes on the principle of upcycling, the process of reusing discarded or trash materials into something else completely usable again. Upcycled Footwear is created from discarded rubber tires, which would otherwise join the 11 million discarded tires in the landfill. The Upcycled by Tribu consume virtually no new raw materials or resources, greatly decreasing production waste.The Upcycled line is crafted by hand, sacrificing neither form nor function.

Why Buy / How We're Different

The 22+ million action/extreme sport enthusiasts around the globe who thrive on creativity, individuality, freedom, risk, and adrenaline. They are “boarders” or “riders” – surf, skate, and snowboarders are the largest concentration. They are a dream demographic of young, loyal, typically affluent, technology-savvy individuals with broad social networks and a decided propensity to try new products and experiences. The market is $12 billion plus in sales and growing.

According to a BusinessWeek 2009 report, there are over 30,000 socially responsible brands in the US alone, a rapidly growing statistic as more companies integrate cause into their business by the day. Gen Y, those born between 1980 and 2000, represent $200B in purchasing power and influence an additional $400B per year in additional spending. Cone Marketing's 2010 'Cause Evolution Study' showed that when a member of Gen Y was given a choice between a brand attached to a cause and an equal non-cause related brand, over 85% would buy from the cause-oriented brand.

History, Traction, & Why We're Raising

Tribe L3C was founded in 2010. We launched TRIBU in the US marketplace on Earth Day 2012. We currently have sales in six stores on the East Coast, as well as on the Internet www.tribunation.com. We established excellent brand awareness by sponsoring three major events this past summer, and driven 1,696 likes on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/tribunation. We are raising money to purchase more inventory and expand our distribution in retail outlets across the country.
