After more than 10 years in growth equity and investment banking, Eduardo Holschneider and Luis Galvez were ready for a change. They had always been interested in education and its power to unlock students’ potential and change lives.

As they started to research, Holschneider and Galvez discovered little had changed the world of education. Schools had been using the same outdated models for more than 100 years. Education needed a change too.

So Holschneider and Galvez founded Trybu. Trybu is a community that brings students and teachers together for live, online classes with practical, powerful knowledge not taught in schools.

So many screens, so little connection

Parents want to keep their children active and engaged, but it’s a challenge when school is out. We’re all busy. Developing constructive, educational activities is time-consuming and energy-draining. Afterschool programs may be too far away or too costly.

So our kids sit in front of a screen, and parents feel guilty about the lack of creativity, physical activity and socialization.

They learn the same old, same old in school, then come home and learn next to nothing.

Meanwhile, there’s a whole world of knowledge out there — art, culture, gardening, cooking, coding . . .

It’s more than 2+2=4. It’s the kind of learning that can help children build a career and a well-rounded life. But how do parents make the connection?
