These include a styrofoam providing double the insulation offered by our competitors; a WiFi-enabled thermostat granting you HVAC control from your bedroom or beach vacation, all via your smartphone; and even solar panel shingles -- in total, a package of 11 fixtures that provide homeowners a 60%-80% reduction in monthly utility bills.

Our 11 Keys to Success

Twin Willows Construction LLC has established corporate sponsorships enabling us to provide the most advanced energy-efficient technologies as part of our standard package.

1. Dow POWERHOUSE Solar Shingles
We are the first firm in the Southeast United States to provide these advanced shingles to consumers, in addition to being the first company to build them into homes as a standard feature. Smaller homes will be outfitted with the 1.44kW system, and our larger homes will come installed with the 2.88kW system.

2. Dow Styrofoam and OxStyrofoam
These products replace industry standards OSB and Tyveck, creating a higher thermal resistance (called r-value in the industry) for exterior walls, lowering heating and cooling expenses significantly. They also resist moisture better than traditional framing materials and protocols.

3. Dow Froth Packs
This insulating closed-cell spray foam is applied to the inside of homes’ exterior walls, sealing homes on a molecular level for the maximum insulated protection available. When combined with structural foam, the froth provides buyers with exterior walls exceeding R-70 insulated protection value -- industry standards are typically R-38. The interior roof within attic and interior basement walls will also be sprayed.

4. Blown Insulation
Our homes' attic spaces will have 1.5-2ft of fiberglass blown insulation providing expanded insulated protection and further reducing monthly utilities.

5. LED Light Bulbs
Every single light socket in every single fixture in -- and outside -- our homes will be fitted with the most advanced, long-lasting LED bulbs available to consumers today. This will provide one of the highest, most sustained impacts on our homes’ reduced energy usage and overall decrease in utility expenses. LED bulbs use a tiny fraction of the electricity used by their filament predecessors. LED technology has advanced quite a bit in the last few years and the spectrum of light is now very similar to that of traditional bulbs.

6. Kohler High Efficiency Fixtures
These high efficiency faucets, toilets and showerheads use 30-35% less water than traditional plumbing and are beautifully designed. We offer our buyers 3 different finishes to choose from.

7. Hybrid On-Demand Hot Water Tank
The heating element on top of this innovative tank heats water as it leaves the tank, thereby avoiding the high cost of heating water to let it just sit there unused.

8. NEST Thermostat
This WiFi habit-learning thermostat allows you to access and control your home’s central air system from your smartphone no matter where you are. Increased control of your HVAC system can have the single largest impact on monthly utility expenses.

9. Low E Windows and Doors
Prevent radiant heat from the sun from penetrating into homes. Keeps homes cooler in the summer, preventing excessive use of AC.

10. Energy Star Appliances
These high-efficiency ovens, cooktops, refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers, washers and dryers use minimal amounts of electricity and water, thereby saving significant resources and expenses each and every month.

11. High SEER HVAC System
Each home will be installed with an HVAC system with a higher than average seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER). This advanced central heat and air system will allow for superior functionality and temperature regulation, while consuming less electrical energy.

Target Market


Willows Pointe homes will be built, priced, and marketed to middle-income Americans as well as retiring baby boomers. These two groups -- the second largest and largest buying populations, respectively -- can benefit the most from buying a home with consistently reduced monthly expenses.


Middle income households (earning $50-75,000 annually) make up 19.6% of the national population, 21% of Tennessee's population, and 16.8% of the Knoxville population -- the largest single demographic.



Knoxville is ranked at #8 of the top 10 fastest growing cities in the U.S., with a growth rate of 30%, largely due to the Y12 National Security Complex and the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, two massive employers in the area. Willows Pointe is located less than twenty minutes from both of these employment hubs.




Additionally, we are located in one of the top 10 public school systems in Tennessee, fueling a large and growing home buyer market in Harden Valley, where Willows Pointe is located.

Team

Adam Hutsell is a Managing Partner and Officer, as well as the Founder of Twin Willows Construction, LLC. His previous real estate experience includes two years apprenticing on two large residential developments in Knoxville. He also spent six years as a commercial banker and commercial portfolio manager for two large commercial banks. He was the first SunTrust Bank commercial banker to grow his overal portfolio by 107% in 18 months, as well as source, underwrite and close the largest derivative loan ever placed on the books for SunTrust Bank East Tennessee ($3,200,000 in 2008 -- still the record loan closed to this day).

Wesley Rhoden is the Site Foreman and Operations Manager. Responsible for cost estimates, job proposals, site management, budget and document control, he has his EIT certification and CPE ESC training. Previously he managed construction packages and material requisitions, structural steel design, procedural requirements and seismically-qualified equipment for Bechtel Power Corporation.
