Vergeous is a prominent new game studio currently working on its first innovative title – Novus – a game that pushes the sandbox genre forward with a powerful combination of RPG, Tower Defense, and Real-Time Strategy elements. This tasteful mix of proven ideas along with our own creative seasoning creates engaging gameplay that demands creativity from players.

Will Renfroe, CEO of Vergeous, created his first profitable software at age 12 and conceived of Novus at age 14. His enterprising spirit has secured the partnership of proven trail-blazer, Scott Miller of 3D Realms.

Scott Miller sold the first downloadable games, developed the original first-person shooter game and was the first to sell a game's intellectual property rights, later to become the movie, Max Payne. He has created 40 games in 25 years, including Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein 3D. All Scott Miller games have been successful and profitable.

In addition to recognizing the value and potential of Novus, Scott, Will and the Vergeous members are about to release Crossy Kingdom, a free-to-play game designed for the red-hot mobile platform--scheduled to Fall 2015 release.

Vergeous games couple a strong, beautiful design with customized game experiences that will hold players' interest for the long haul. We have been told repeatedly by industry vets that we are on the cutting edge of gaming, and we regularly examine the top games on the market from start to finish so that we may better understand what people want in a game. 

Players may host friends in the world they have created, rent server space, post their customized world and even advertise and sell admission to their imaginary landscape. Players can use their talents and imagination to create the experience that they want. The goal in our design is to give the player as many tools and resources as possible so that the game is given unlimited potential in the player's hands.

By enabling enteprising players to monetize their custom add-ons to Novus, we will develop a word-of-mouth sales force that has a monetary interest in selling our game for us.

Securing the mentorship with Scott Miller is a testament to the eventual success of our company. Scott is a game industry pioneer who had a large hand in the creation of episodic gaming, online distribution and independent studios. He has 30 years of prominence in games, and is still going strong.

Will Renfroe, CEO - Will, an established gaming entrepreneur at 12 years old, created the game Novus at age 14. He was successful in recruiting industry pioneer Scott Miller to assist on this project. He currently attends one of the most elite prep schools in the Southeast. His ability to read people, put together a good team and manage it has been critical to the team's growth, as well as the game's. The assembly of our veteran team is entirely the fruit of Will's vision, judgment and hiring.

Scott Miller, Mentoring & Promotion - Scott sold the first downloadable game in the 1980s, developed the original first-person shooter game and the original 3D games. He was the first to sell a game's intellectual property rights, which later became the movie Max Payne. He has created 40 games in 25 years, including Duke Nukem and Wolfenstein 3D. His previous knowledge, connections, and love of Novus will keep the game going strong.

Kirby Wardenski, Lead Designer - Kirby has designed numerous games and is a graduate of Full Sail University with two degrees. He spends the majority of his free time studying the latest and greatest in the game industry. His love for Novus, his quirky, dry humor (which, believe it or not, shows through in the game design), and his ability to create previously unimaginable mechanics are all testaments to the future success of Novus as a game. 

Paul Renfroe, CFO - Paul has 35 years of experience in executive leadership, capital formation and budget management. He is a graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis, TN and is currently pursuing his Doctoral degree in Ministry. Everyone agrees he can manage funds with a focus on the desired result, and because of that, Vergeous is safe legally and financially.
