What is Yokal Sports?

Yokal Sports' video highlights are 150 secods or less in length, which includes a 20 - 25 second intereview with the winning coach.  For each market, our initial goal is to set up 20 large schools You Tube page and upload 2 games a week, translating to 8 games per school per month, or 160 games per DMA per month.   These You Tube pages will have video be uploaded by our sports reporters and each sports reporter will have an ID number.

Intial revenue from our video will come from existing local brands that take the video we produce and put on their websites, newscasts or channels.  We edit our video into simple packages that can be easily sold to local, regional and national customers based around their schools and DMAs.   Any business that needs video is potential customer and we have a list that includes 2,400 + enterprise customers.  The frist two months are free for companies to sign up and our goal is have each customer earn a profit from the service.    Phase 1 of the roadmap is to establish  customers for the 30 largest DMA's in America.

As we cover more markets and schools, YokalSports.com will look to create Yokals who will become consumer customers.  It will cost 1.99 per month for people to become a Yokal.   This will include recap shows, local team podcasts, statistics and everything local sports fan will need to know about the market where they live.

By offering video and statistics we hope to provide unbiased high-quality video, audio and statistics for local fans.   We will never focus on the individual but on the schools and teams.   The goal is to build a model that will allow us to cover local sports for every DMA in America and expand that model to different markets throughout the world.

Giving a Voice to the Yokals

Below are a few reason we are able to accomplish this:

  • Rely on customers
  • Operate and cover more schools than any business
  • Lower cost structure
  • Operate in most direct marketing areas and do it faster than other options
  • Fans will participate and produce our video in addition to having Yokalsports.com produce video
  • Being both a bottom up and top down company allows us cover more games and give people with a passion for sports to demonstrate that passion
  • Offering only video and data -- there will be no opinions
  • Focus 100% on the schools / teams -- never on the the individual athletes
  • Our culture will be about creating and matching the needs of our customers, competition between markets based on data and providing local services
