This week we congratulate Atlas Wearables on raising over $1 million to bring their fitness tracking wristbands to active customers around the world. We also share some tried and true tips for promoting your crowdfunding campaign through social media.

Atlas Wearables are the creators of the Atlas wristband — a device that can monitor activity and automatically identifies exercises, count reps, and organize sets, all with virtually zero user action.

A recent graduate of the Techstars program, Atlas was hailed as the “coolest piece of hardware” by CNN and “coolest startup at the Techstars Demo Day” by VentureBeat. They have also received glowing endorsements from industry leaders like MapMyFitness, and Fitocracy.

After raising over $500,000 in pre-orders, Atlas has successfully raised $1.1 million in seed funding in their total round of $1.5 million. Funds will go towards adding key talent to the team for continued growth, as well as Atlas’ Motion Genome Project, a project that classifies and analyzes millions of routine movements and will provide the technical basis for future product releases.
