Magnus Gyan’s mission is to improve the quality and availability of education in Brazil by providing high-quality, low-cost educational solutions to the country’s surge of middle-class students.

Their affordable tablet and accompanying educational software combines individualized learning and real-time analytics for educators. The tablet provides the same technical power of models like the Samsung Galaxy at less than half the price, and is specifically designed to withstand high humidity and harsh environmental conditions.

With over 2,500 initial units sold, Magnus Gyan is the only education technology firm operating in Brazil combining low-cost hardware and a wide-array of affordable educational software. To date, they have launched 2 successful pilot public sector programs, totaling 1,500 students and 2,100 teachers, and are partnering with the country’s leading English Language Learning institution.

The team has raised $1.1 million to date, and is looking to expand their team and platform offerings through additional investment.
