Owlet is an innovative new wearable device helping new parents everywhere rest easy about the health and safety of their babies. The Owlet Smart Sock wirelessly transmits baby’s heart rate, oxygen levels and other important information to parents via smartphone, allowing them to monitor their baby’s vitals from anywhere. With $250,000 in presale revenue from Q4 2014 alone, Owlet received rave reviews from The Wall Street Journal, The Today Show, and TechCrunch, among others.

This week, the Owlet team announced the close of a convertible seed round, raising $1,850,000 from angel investors and venture capitalists with experience in the health, mobile applications and hardware industries.

I was not aware of websites like these and l'm very happy to see this now, the resoan why l am so happy to see it is because funding for businesses has more or less dried up and if you cannot get funding from the bank then you are stuck. This way you can get support from the public who think you have a good business idea, l will have to visit these websites myself for a more in depth look.
