Second Screen for Smartphones Raises $850K, Sold at Best Buy

popSLATE is the smart case for your smartphone, integrating a low-energy display screen into a protective phone case for never-before-seen self-expression, personalization, and information access. The popSLATE cover pairs with the popSLATE mobile app, which acts as the central hub for all images, sharing and display customization.

popSLATE has seen some incredible success since launch, bringing in over $220,000 in pre-orders, 1,532 initial customers, and glowing praise from outlets like Wired, Engadget, and CNET. The breakout gadget is on track to launch popSLATE in premium retail locations, including Best Buy and the Apple store, in early 2015.

The popSLATE team has already closed $850,000 from reputable Silicon Valley investors including Tandem Capital, Plug&Play ventures and notable angels. They are also working to quickly develop a popSLATE case for iPhone 6+ as well as Android phones.
