We have a lot to celebrate at Fundable as we head into the new year. After launching our rewards and equity funding platforms this year, we were thrilled to see so many companies successfully funded right out of the gate. We’re gearing up for another big year for entrepreneurs nationwide, and ready to help more entrepreneurs and businesses grow.

Here’s a look back at a few highlights from last year – congratulations to all of the entrepreneurs who used Fundable to successfully launch their companies in 2012!

Most Funded: Fleksy

Tech savvy founders Iannis Verdelis and Kostas Eleftheriou launched their type-correcting app and became the most funded Fundable startup in 2012, closing a $900,000 funding round.

The team behind Fleksy developed the mobile typing application with the sight-impaired in mind. They’ve created algorithms so precise that iPhone users can type every single letter incorrectly on their keyboard and still end up with the intended word.

Fastest Funded: Altitude Training Mask

By utilizing his strong customer base and great product, Casey Danford was able to launch and reach over 100% of his funding goal in 72 hours.

Casey’s Altitude Training Mask allows athletes and fighters to increase lung capacity by simulating lower air pressure experienced at high altitudes. By the end of its campaign, the Elevation Training Mask was over 200% funded with 219 backers!

Most Viral: 3-D Vision

3-D Vision was launched by renowned inventor Gene Dolgoff, who created the original LCD projector. His innovative technology can be plugged into any computer, video gaming system, projector, or television (including older CRTVs) to produce 3-D images from any and all content.

Gene’s disruptive device took off like a rocket ship – after a whirlwind of press buzz and rave reviews, Gene’s Fundable campaign received millions of impressions through news and social media outlets, 168 backers, and 248% funding. Coincidentally, 3-D Vision is also the most overfunded Fundable startup to date!
